Spend 75 minutes at Ladys Pass, Victoria, for a hands-on introduction to the HorseNatured methodology.

 

This session is designed for those who want to move beyond being a spectator and begin the journey of becoming a competent, mindful horse partner.

Whether you are "testing the waters" before committing to our Certification Tracks or simply want to experience horses from a place of respect and understanding, the Discovery Session provides a tangible foundation in ground-based partnership.

What You’ll Master

This is not a passive experience. You will actively engage with our resident horses to begin building your "Guardian" toolkit:

• Safe Approach & Haltering: Learn the mechanics of entering a horse’s space with clarity and respect.

• The Language of the Herd: Discover how horses communicate through subtle body language and how to "read" their honest feedback in real-time.

• The Mirror Effect: Experience firsthand how your internal state directly influences a horse’s willingness to partner with you.

• Groundwork Foundations: Practice basic leading and spatial awareness—the building blocks of all successful horse handling.

For Future Pony Parents & Families

 

Are you considering a horse for your child? This session is the perfect "reality check." We welcome children (9+ years) accompanied by an adult, tailoring the experience to help families understand the level of awareness and care required to keep both the child and the horse safe and comfortable.

The Science of Co-Regulation

While our focus is on practical skills, we recognise the profound biological connection between human and horse. Interaction with horses has been shown to lower cortisol levels and promote nervous system regulation.

​

At HorseNatured, we view this "biofeedback" as a safety tool: by learning to regulate your own heart rate and energy, you provide the horse with the calm, stable environment they need to feel safe in our human world.
